FAN ARTWORK SUBMISSION

What does community mean to you? In Season 2 of The Heights, the Arcadia Community Centre is hosting a community art show and you are invited to take part! 

Create a piece of artwork on the theme of ‘Community’. It can be any digital medium (photo, painting, digital collage) as long as it’s no larger that A3 and please bear in mind that it cannot be returned. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

However, if your submission is selected for use in The Heights, we may retain in perpetuity the information and materials submitted by you as part of your submission.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

By participating in the fan artwork callout (the “Artwork Callout”) you acknowledge and agree that you accept and will be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1.       Who is conducting the Artwork Callout?

The Artwork Callout is being conducted by Matchbox WA Two Pty Ltd (ABN 42 633 963 998) (“The Heights S2 /we/us/our”), a company registered at Level 32, 580 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia.

2.       What is the Artwork Callout?

In series 2 of The Heights (the “Program”), the Arcadia Community Centre is hosting a community art show and you are invited to take part! 

We are looking for artwork, created by fans of The Heights, centered around the question:  “What does community mean to you?”.

It can be any medium (photo, painting, digital collage) as long as it’s no larger than A3, can be scanned into a digital copy (“Artwork”) and please bear in mind that it cannot be returned to you.

Selected Artworks must comply with these terms and conditions (including being appropriate material and an original creation) and will be displayed in our new set of The Heights S2 in the Arcadia Community Centre.

3.       Who can participate in the Artwork Callout?

Anyone! If you have created an original Artwork we would love for you to take part.

4.       How do I participate in the Artwork Callout?

You must complete the submission form on www.matchboxpictures.com/heights-artwork-submission and confirm you accept these terms and conditions. We will then reach out to you at the email address you supplied to let you know where to email your Artwork to (the submission form and the submitted Artwork is referred to as your “Application”).

The form must be submitted between 12 September 2019 at 00:00:01 (AEST) and 3 October 2019 at 23:59:59 (AEST).  The Artwork must be submitted by no later than 3 October 2019 at 23:59:59. Unfortunately, Applications submitted outside of the relevant windows noted above will not be considered.

If your Artwork is selected, we will notify you by the 31st of October 2019 via your email address supplied to us in your Application. We are not required to select any Artwork if, in our sole discretion, the Artwork is ultimately considered unsuitable.

You may be subject to our vetting process to ensure that any Artwork you provide will not bring us, the Program and/or other parties connected to the Program into public disrepute, contempt, scandal and/or ridicule and/or reflect unfavourably on us, the Program and/or other parties connected to the Program.

5.     What will you do with my Submission?

All personal information and materials you supply to us for the Artwork Callout (the “Submission”) will be collected for the purpose of the Artwork Callout and the artwork submitted may be used to decorate the set for the fictional “Arcadia Community Centre” in the Program. We may store the information and materials submitted by you as part of your Submission in accordance with our privacy policy (https://www.matchboxpictures.com/privacy-policy) for a period of up to ninety (90) days from receipt of the final part of your Submission.

However, if your Submission complies with these terms and conditions and is used to decorate the Program’s set, we may retain in perpetuity the information and materials submitted by you as part of your Submission.

We might not use your Submission for anything other than review and use as part of this Artwork Callout. However, by sending us your Submission, you agree to us and our group companies having the right to use your Submission together with your first name, last name and town or country of residence, in any and all media and you grant all consents and waive all necessary rights to enable us and our group companies to make the fullest use of your Submission in any and all media, worldwide, without any payment to you.  

6.       A few final legal bits…

Don’t submit inappropriate or illegal material: You must comply with all relevant laws and we won’t consider Submissions that (i) contain defamatory, offensive, pornographic, obscene and/or menacing material and/or (ii) may (in our sole judgment) insult and/or cause annoyance, inconvenience, distress and/or anxiety to any person, and/or (iii) contain a virus and/or other computer program intended to damage and/or interfere with the proper working of any computer or device used to access the submission.

Don’t breach anyone else’s copyright: By making a submission, you warrant and represent that all material contained in your Submission is original to you, you own the copyright in it and it does not infringe any rights of any third party, including, but not limited to, copyright, trademarks, design rights, privacy and publicity rights.

Age:  If you are under eighteen (18) years old, you confirm that you have obtained the permission of your parent or legal guardian to make a Submission to this Artwork Callout.

Employment: You acknowledge that nothing in these terms and conditions, in the Artwork Callout and/or in any other documentation connected with the Artwork Callout constitutes any employment, joint venture or partnership relationship (or any offer of employment, joint venture or partnership) between you and (i) The Heights S2 and/or (ii) Matchbox Pictures.

No liability: Whilst we’ve tried to give you accurate information as far as we are able so that you can plan accordingly, all dates referred to in these terms and conditions are subject to change and we will not be liable for any loss you may suffer if any of the dates change for any reason, even at short notice. You release us, our group companies, partners and employees from any and all liability, claims, demands and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft and/or loss suffered in connection with the Artwork Callout except where directly due to our negligence.

Our decision is final: We have complete discretion in all decisions made in relation to the Artwork Callout, our decisions in all matters are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into except as set out in these terms and conditions.
