Helen Panckhurst

Head of Production

Helen Panckhurst is currently Head of Production for Matchbox and supervises production of the entire Matchbox slate.  She has produced television drama, documentaries and feature films.  Helen’s credits as producer for Matchbox include the ABC television drama series Old School, starring Bryan Brown and Sam Neill, the crime drama series The Straits, which she produced with Penny Chapman for ABC television; and Gregor Jordan’s documentary Ian Thorpe: The Swimmer. She co-produced, with Penny Chapman, the Logie & AFI Award-winning children’s television series My Place; and RAN, the Chapman Pictures six-part miniseries for SBS.

Helen’s other producing credits include Mrs Carey’s Concert, the AACTA award-winning documentary box office hit she produced with Bob Connolly; the landmark seven-part documentary series First Australians with Rachel Perkins and Darren Dale; and Curtis Levy’s documentary The Matilda Candidate.  Helen’s credits as line producer, production manager and post production supervisor include roles on Philip Noyce and Christine Olsen’s feature Rabbit-Proof Fence; Lawrence Johnston’s documentary Eternity; Bill Bennett’s feature Kiss Or Kill; and season one of the Hallmark/Henson Sci-Fi TV drama series Farscape.
